HAI guyz!!, just want to share with you dis memory which i dnt remember, of me passed out from 3 too many Pulses wit ma maccas! What a fun nighttttttt wit da gurlzzzz.

Now, I’m a big proponent of passing out; Xanax, cough syrup, but you know, in my bed after a long hard day of general skulduggery. There are two things going on here and I find both to be rather distressing.

I was - unfortunately - doing my grocery shopping at Warringah Mall the other week, as usual there was something which vexed me. A mother and her late tween, circa 13 year old, daughter were shopping. The mother was loudly advising her daughter that, now she was no longer a ‘child’, she must start looking sexy. The child was promptly bought a pair of faux litas. There’s nothing QUITE like priming your own child for objectification is there? It was all just a little too toddlers and tiaras for me, next thing you know she’ll be booked into junior cheerleader training for the manly sea eagles. Anyhoo, it’s all here in this picture. A 12 year old in heels, Vladimir Nabokov would be proud.

Very quickly, the photo also demonstrates another NB travesty: the boy girl outfit disparity. Girls - always dressed to the nines, guys - owning the same hooded jumper (for all occasions!) from the age of 12 through to 32.

Anthropologically, the line photo is one of the more important rituals of the Northern Beaches - simply because it allows for so much insight into other peninsula behaviour. Line photos allow the viewer to compare and examine outfits, shades of tan, hair extensions and clomp shoes quite succinctly. Side by side our subjects willingly pit themselves against each other…

BTW, nice backdrop guys.

Beaches Boiz (I have no intention of picking only on girls, unfortunately Northern Beaches males don’t post nearly as many photos, although they are gems just the same - in fact their infernal ways are far more insidious)

Beaches boiz must have a stripper to objectify at almost every occasion. Ie 18ths, 21sts, week long bucks’ parties, NRL wins, boiz nights, boiz weekends and so on.
